Why I’ve Started Posting Daily Golf Marketing Content on LinkedIn

Marketing a golf marketing agency

As someone who runs their own golf marketing agency, it’s easy to fall into the trap of “do what I say, not what I do.”

I spend my time helping golf clubs and businesses build consistent, strategic content that generates results…but when it came to my own brand, Your Golf Marketing, I wasn’t always applying that same level of consistency.

So, I’ve made a change.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve started posting daily on LinkedIn – and I’m committed to keeping that going. By writing this article, it will help hold myself accountable.

Here’s why I started posting on LinkedIn daily:

Practising what I preach

I’ve told countless golf clubs that regular content builds trust, keeps your venue front of mind, and helps convert interest into bookings or memberships. That same logic applies to me.

Posting daily helps me lead by example and show what good, consistent content can actually look like.

Sharing knowledge, insights and real results

By sharing recent campaign results, tips, case studies and trends, I’m giving golf clubs and businesses a glimpse into what’s working right now in the world of golf marketing. Whether it’s improving lead generation, testing different ad copy, or optimising website journeys, the goal is to provide real-world value that others can learn from and apply themselves.

It’s not about showing off. It’s about helping the golf industry get better at marketing, one post at a time.

Learning what golf marketing content really works

There’s only so much theory you can read. I wanted to test firsthand what types of content resonate. What drives engagement, what falls flat and what sparks conversation. This makes me better at my job. Because the more I understand how content performs, the more I can help golf clubs do the same.

It’s free visibility

Let’s be honest, LinkedIn is free to use, so I can market my services without spending a penny. So, if you’re not leveraging LinkedIn (or any other social media platform) to raise your profile or get your business in front of the right audience with daily content, you’re missing a trick.

Posting regularly has already helped grow awareness of Your Golf Marketing and helped start quite a few new conversations with potential clients.

I’ve actually enjoyed it

Coming up with content ideas has been a refreshing challenge. It’s not nearly as time-consuming as I’d feared, and it’s given me the chance to say the things I think about daily, but don’t always share. Content doesn’t have to be perfect – it just needs to be honest, useful and relevant.

It’s given me perspective

One unexpected benefit? It’s helped me look at my business from the outside.

When you’re deep in the day-to-day, you rarely pause to reflect on your own brand, messaging or positioning. But writing posts has forced me to zoom out and spot areas where I can do things differently, stand out more, or improve how I present what I do.

Do you need golf marketing support?
